概要 | There are three characteristic phases in QCD at finite temperature and density: hadronic phase, quark-gluon plasma phase and color superconducting phase. Recently, we suggested that the interplay between chiral symmetry breaking and color superconductivity induced by the QCD axial anomaly leads to a possibility of a crossover between hadronic and color superconducting phases [1]. After reviewing this result, we demonstrate that this crossover can be dynamically understood from the viewpoint of an interacting instanton ensemble as a four-dimensional generalization of the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition [2]. Also we discuss the continuity of elementary excitations, such as pseudoscalar mesons and vector mesons, from low to high densities [3]. All these results may imply the continuity of hadron and quark matter in dense QCD. |
