概要 |
After briefly mentioned why Einstein's gravity cannot go beyond the Planck scale, I will introduce renormalizable quantum conformal gravity that can describe space-time beyond the Planck scale. The significant feature of this theory is that it has a background free nature represented as BRST conformal symmetry in the UV limit. This is a gauge symmetry that makes undesirable negative-metric modes unphysical. First, I will overview basic structure of quantum gravity with such a conformal symmetry. Then, I will construct the renormalizable theory on the basis of dimensional regularization and carry out high-loop calculations. Finally, I will briefly talk about inflationary scenario predicted from this quantum gravity theory. |
